I am an associate editor for NBC's four diversity verticals: NBC Latino, NBC BLK, NBC Asian America and NBC Out. I focus broadly on covering Latin America, Latinos in the U.S. and the LGBTQ community. I also enjoy covering major pop culture moments, especially the Oscars. One of my recent areas of focus has been abortion in Latin America. Weeks after Mexico decriminalized abortion, I visited an abortion clinic in Mexico City and reported on how cultural stigmas remain powerful despite legal changes. I've also reported on abortion access at the southern border, where a shrinking abortion landscape threatens both American and Mexican women's health.
