Dermatologist Neil Sadick was already a favorite among socialites and celebrities, but after he got his mitts on the city’s first fat-blasting Cellactor SC1 machine last year, his waiting list exploded. Beloved by Europeans (also, reportedly, Madonna), the coveted equipment uses sound waves to break down fat cells and tighten connective tissue in dimply butts and thighs, visibly reducing cellulite after four to six treatments. Unlike plastic surgery or laser, the Cellactor is noninvasive and emits no heat, so skin never burns. At $500 a session, it’s hardly cheap. Then again, neither is liposuction.
