Sundial-Schwartz works mostly for decorators (whose names you may recognize from shelter magazines), contractors, and architectsbut privates are welcome. Whether you need new glass for a picture frame or an elaborate, beveled-edge mirror, the adroit craftsmen here can tackle it. The most basic, 14-inch-thick glass, custom-cut to protect a tabletop, is $9 per square foot; mirror is $10; and 12-inch glass, for self-supporting tabletops, is $24. (Larger pieces like shower enclosures carry extra charges, as do details like beveled edges.) The real extravaganzas, though, are the stunning antique custom-made mirrors, priced at about $25 per square foot, with a $75 minimum.
