Art-gallery types rarely agree about anythingexcept when you ask about framers. For careful work on insanely valuable canvases, Zach Feuer and the Lower East Side’s Lisa Cooley call on Elena Muldoon and Corinne Takasaki. They pride themselves on making all their frames by hand, mostly out of maple, and they don’t send your art off to some big warehouse where it can get manhandledeverything’s done in their immense workshop on West 30th Street. The shop won’t shy away from unorthodox items, either: They were recently charged with creating a vitrine for Indiana Jones’s whip. Prices start as low as $40 for a small basic frame and go way up from there, depending mostly on size.
