Crispo
After spending the past few years consulting for restaurants like the Tonic and restaurateurs like Bette Midler, chef Frank Crispo (formerly of Zeppole and Chefs Cuisiniers Club) has finally landed a stove of his own one formerly employed by the previous tenant, kosher caterer Lou G. Siegel. At Crispo, the chef-owner has dispensed with the gefilte fish, focusing instead on Italian-Mediterranean fare like dandelion-greens salad, crab agnolotti, and sauted skate with asparagus and grapefruit. But he kept the mezuzahs for luck.
