Despite heavy pressure from Obama to vote on his ambitious health-care plan before the August recess, Democratic Senate leader Harry Reid said it won’t be done in time. According to the AP, Reid will take the time to merge the version of the legislation already passed by the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committee with the pending Finance Committee version.
