This weekend saw a bundle of new ladies linked to Tiger Woods, the married golf superstar whose life was upended over Thanksgiving after a mysterious car crash and reports of marital infidelity. We’ve just learned about Mindy Lawton, the Florida cocktail waitress who said she “looked like a rag doll” after sex with Tiger. There are also an unnamed Florida woman who’s lawyered up and two women in Britain — one famous broadcaster and another who is only known to be a “sex-addicted cougar.” But not to be outdone, Manhattan produced another of its own to contribute to this mess: Cori Rist, who follows in the footsteps of Rachel Uchitel, the first New York club girl to be linked to Woods.
Rist and Woods reportedly met at Butter, the long-running downtown hotspot, last year, and have had an ongoing relationship. According to “friends,” he’s flown her out to be with him on tour. “Tiger would typically get a large suite at a hotel,” a source told the Daily News. “Someone would book Cori an adjacent room, so she wouldn’t be seen coming into his room.” Rist wouldn’t comment on the story to the tabloids — even to deny it — but fortunately for us, she’s posed for New York–based photographer Robert Calderone, who supplied the Post with some steamy photos of Rist in lingerie and … full-body pajamas. The only other thing we know about Rist is that she is divorced, has a 7-year-old child, and is locked in a custody battle with her ex-husband. When the Post was staking out her Chelsea apartment, they ran into the ex and his new girlfriend. They asked the new galpal, Meredith Pearson (this really happened), what she thought of Rist’s alleged fling with Tiger Woods, and Pearson replied, “I’m not surprised at all.”
