For posterity and definitely not for its entertainment value we present to you the footage of Steven Slater’s escape from a JetBlue airplane earlier this week. Though some view-obstructing thing is preventing us from seeing whether Slater did, in fact, throw up his arms and yell “Yippeee!” when he slid down the inflatable slide, the video does, at least, put one thing into perspective: how easily he could have just walked off the plane like a normal person.
