A web consulting company called AptiQuant put an IQ test online, then measured the average scores achieved by users of different web browsers. The results: People who use Internet Explorer, still the world’s most popular browser, have a below-average IQ, while users of Firefox or Chrome have an above-average IQ. Smartest of all, though, are Opera users, who have an average IQ around 120. They’re definitely the most pretentious, too, because they’re using a browser that nobody has heard of. [CNN]
Update: A BBC report questions whether AptiQuant is even a real company.
