Al Qaeda Has No Big 9/11 Anniversary Plans

What are you doing on the 10th anniversary of 9/11? Will you head down to Ground Zero? Will you watch United 93? Will you bask in the first Sunday of the salvaged NFL season and ignore the momentous but painful day entirely? Everyone will have their own way of observing (or not observing) the milestone, and there’s no wrong way to go about it.

Oh, except blowing something up, which is what we assume Al Qaeda wants to do. But it turns out Al Qaeda will just be chilling on 9/11, according to Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, who said yesterday that there are “no specific or credible threats involving the 9/11 anniversary to date.” Really? We’re not even going to get one of those useless “we think they might hit transportation or a landmark or a mall or any place with five or more people” warnings?
