Sixth-Graders Explain How the Debt Deal Went Down

One of the adjectives most often used to describe the behavior of lawmakers during the debt-ceiling debacle was “childish.” (In fact, 77 percent of Americans apparently think they behaved like “spoiled children.”) Despite following the story pretty closely here at Daily Intel, we found it pretty hard to summarize the petty back-and-forth twists. Maybe it’s our maturity (ha!) or advanced age. So we asked a 10- and 11-year-old to break it down for us.
