Remember this map (above), in which every person in New York City requested that a bike-share station be placed in a location — next to apartment, next to office, next to out-of-the-way bar from which you could drunk-bike home instead of paying for a cab — that would be very convenient for their lives. Well, the Department of Transportation has started to make some progress on whittling it down. Behold, a less-cluttered map showing the proposed sites for about four dozen bike racks on the west side of Manhattan.
