Mitt Romney took what seems like a gratuitous walk through an Iowa corn field today. The AP reports that on the way to the airport, Romney “stopped to visit a corn field and talk with a farmer about the severe drought gripping much of the nation.” Only now, after personally inspecting these corn stalks, does Romney truly understand that drought is bad for plants.
