When then-State Senator Shirley Huntley was arrested in August, the Queens representative said she had “no idea what this is about,” but she obviously remembered because on Wednesday she pleaded guilty to embezzling $87,700 from a non-profit she founded. Earlier this month, Huntley told the Queens Chronicle she had “no plans” for the future after losing November’s election, which is just as well because she faces two years in prison as part of her plea deal.
