The New York tabloid let go of more than a dozen people today, Capital New York reports, including veteran gossip columnist Joanna Molloy, whose husband/partner-in-crime George Rush took a buyout from the paper in 2010. The cuts are the latest, most drastic changes to take place under editor Colin Myler, who has aimed for a more web-based, national appeal. “I’ll be okay,” wrote a fired Daily News features reporter in a public kiss-off last week. “The newspaper, well, that’s a different story.”
