“We have to have regular, predictable fare increases,” said the MTA’s chief financial officer today, meaning that prices for buses, subways, and tolls will go up yet again, not only in 2015, but also 2017, and so on, until only Michael Bloomberg and Jay-Z, both having purchased eternal life and beauty, can afford to take the train.
