Shellie Zimmerman pleaded guilty today to misdemeanor perjury for lying at her husband’s bond hearing after he was charged in the killing of Trayvon Martin. Shellie allegedly told a judge, under oath, that the couple had no money, despite being heard on tape speaking in code to George about the $130,000 in donations given to his defense. She faced five years in prison but was sentenced to one year of probation under a plea deal.
