Georgia Elementary School Narrowly Avoided Another Sandy Hook

Hill.

Twenty-year-old Michael Brandon Hill was arrested yesterday at the Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy in DeKalb County, Georgia, dressed in all black and armed with an AK-47. “I just started telling him my life story and what was going on with me,” said Antoinette Tuff, an office clerk at the school, who called Hill “a young man that was ready to kill anybody that he could.” The gunman allegedly fired between four and six shots at police during a hostage situation, and his car may have been filled with explosives and other weapons. But Hill gave up before encountering any of the school’s 800 children.

He got down on the floor, but when the police officers came in, he was actually laying on the floor with his hands behind his back,” said Tuff. According to the sheriff’s office, “He stated he was sorry, that he was off his meds.”
