Glenn Greenwald isn’t the only one getting a new job thanks to Edward Snowden. General Keith Alexander, the director of the National Security Agency, is planning to step down, along with his deputy director John “Chris” Inglis, in the coming months, Reuters reports. After more than eight years atop the spy agency, Alexander will be replaced by the upcoming spring, while Inglis will retire at the end of this year, following massive leaks — Alexander has called the reporting “sensationalized” — and thus heightened scrutiny. While the men are reportedly leaving “voluntarily,” Obama gets a fresh start. This time, everyone will be watching.
