There is an argument to be made that Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is the most photogenic man in North America, in his way. The latest in an ongoing series of photos that will one day make a great coffee-table book is the above image of budget chief Frank Di Giorgio horsing around with a giddy, red-faced Ford. As with the crack-smoking, initial reports have been met with firm denials: Supposedly there was no tickling going on.
“Oh my God! You’ve got to be kidding,” De Giorgio told the Toronto Sun when informed of his growing viral fame. It was totally manly! “The mayor and I share a background in football,” he said. “Any time the mayor, let’s say gets angry with me, I say, ‘You know what, we’ve got to settle this on the football field.’” (Both men are former high-school coaches.) “I said to him let’s get down into a three-point stance and we’ll fire out at each other and we’ll see who wins on this thing.”
“I kind of lunged towards to him and pushed him back,” De Giorgio added. “It was all in fun.” It always is with this guy.
