Gothamist did some strong work Friday putting this year’s snow totals in historical perspective. Seems not only have we gotten on the top ten board with a ninth-place 54 inches for the season, this breakdown of monthly numbers and various other stats shows that while snowfalls typically peak in February, we frequently get a good dose in March, as well. With two weeks left of the former and all of the latter to go this winter, and snow forecast this weekend and next Tuesday, there’s a decent enough chance we’ll crack the top five. Go team!
