A massive “lake-effect” snowstorm whipped across the Great Lakes last night, unleashing huge amounts of snow on parts of western New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Towns south of Buffalo have already registered up to four feet of snow, and sections of major thruways like I-90 are shut down as a result of the weather. If this is what the next five months are going to be like, let’s all just go back to bed.
