Some sex-positive Londoners are gearing up for a very NSFW action outside parliament Friday, where they will sit on each others’ faces to protest a new law that bans that sex act in British-produced porn. Oh, and they’ll also be singing “Sit on My Face” from Monty Python.
The restrictive legislation on the production of XXX videos was implemented last week, and effectively axed most kinds of BDSM porn production by prohibiting everything from spanking to water sports to [consensual] verbal abuse. But it also banned face-sitting, and, for some odd reason, footage of female ejaculation — because porn-consuming adults should be shielded from seeing naturally occurring physiological responses.
That didn’t sit too well (no pun intended) with British sex worker of the year Charlotte Rose, who helped organize Friday’s “bit of ridiculous fun to show the ridiculousness of these laws.” And, as for allegations that face-sitting can be dangerous, Rose joked that they’ll have “facial color charts for health and safety to ensure no one is being suffocated.” Presumably, participants will have to come up for air at least often enough to sing:
Of course, Britons can still get their freak on with videos taped abroad. Now the only question remaining is whether journalists filming the face-sitting protest will automatically violate the law in question.
