Understandably, no one wants anything to do with the house in Newtown, Connecticut, where 20-year-old Adam Lanza killed his mother and plotted the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary, so now it belongs to the town. Hudson City Savings Bank has owned the house since September after Nancy Lanza’s son, Ryan Lanza, sold the house earlier this year. On Wednesday Newtown’s legislative council voted to take possession of the 2.1-acre property at no cost. Several victims’ families have called for the house to be torn down, and town officials say they’re still deciding what to do with it.
