If somebody — preferably a woman — could wrangle today’s Feminism Award from Ariana Grande and hand it over to Apple, that’d be great, because the beloved tech giant just solved sexism forever.
At Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco today, Apple committed the truly revolutionary act of letting not one but two women take the stage and address the crowd. Take that, feminist-yearbook-quote teen. Take that, Aziz Ansari. There’s a new feminist in town, and it wants to sell you a new iPhone.
Not content to simply accomplish gender diversity, Apple also embraced the nation’s 37 million Spanish speakers by naming its new operating system “El Capitan,” the Spanish word for captain.
Bravo, Apple. Or should I say … ¡bravo.
