Webster Hall hosts the parade’s official after-party and a high-stakes costume contest that is not for the faint of heart. Finalists will be invited to perform onstage, and the audience selects the winner�but runners-up should find plenty of spine-tingling thrills across the venue’s four floors of dance music, acrobats, and fire performances.
When: Friday, 10/31, 8 p.m.
Prize: $5,000 cash

34th Annual Village Halloween Costume Ball

For one night only, TNC’s four performance spaces transform into an eclectic Halloween hellscape, staged by some of the city’s leading scenarists. This party has everything: big-band orchestras, bluegrass and jazz bands, jugglers, fire-eaters, psychics, burlesque, cabaret, even a torchlit �medieval ritual show.� The costume contest features 12 different categories, including "Most Magickal," "Most Psychic," and "Most Hungry for Tomatoes.�

Prize: Each winner receives a one-year pass to TNC and a bottle of Moët & Chandon Champagne.
Price: $20 for admission; everything inside is free except food and drink. Costume or formalwear is required.
Annual Halloween Party

Creativity wins the night at this artsy fête, where the museum’s own curator Gary Carrion-Murayari judges the costume contest. Take in the artwork as you sip Halloween-themed cocktails, and get ready to explain your high-concept getup. Stock witches, cats, and Frankensteins need not apply.
When: Friday, 10/31, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Prize: Premium New Museum membership ($1,000 value).
Price: New Museum members can bring one guest. Nonmembers can purchase membership ($60 and above) at the door.
Halloween in the Black Lodge

Celebrate the return of Twin Peaks at the Glasslands, with DJ sets by @ThatsOurWaldo and Smoking Mirror, audiovisual performances, themed decorations, and, of course, coffee and doughnuts. You must be dressed as a character from the show to enter the costume contest. The dance floor will be, in the words of Dale Cooper, �a place both wonderful and strange.�

Yotel Halloween Rooftop Party

Dress up as your favorite celebrity or character to board this midnight booze cruise. The heated yacht will have two cash bars, three levels of dance music, ranging from house and Top 40 to reggaeton and salsa, and an outdoor lounge for group renditions of �I’m on a Boat.�
