Go Out on a High Note

Ring in the New Year with one of these 10 concerts, whether your taste runs Future or They Might Be Giants.

Future, Macy Gray, Jimmy Buffett

Phish
Madison Square Garden, 4 Penn Plz., nr. 31st St.; 212-465-6741; 8 p.m.; $80
This classic NYE event won't last forever, so give in to your inner Phishhead and mellow out with some sick jams. And before you go listen to this classic episode of Analyze Phish to get in the mood and laugh a ton.

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band
Barclays Center, 620 Atlantic Ave., at Flatbush Ave., Prospect Heights; 917-618-6700; 9 p.m.; $65-$256
If you're looking for an equally chill option, but also want to kind of feel like you are on an island, this is your best bet. Grab a margarita, pretend that Brooklyn is in the tropics, and commune with your fellow Parrotheads.

Future
Pier 36, 299 South St., nr. Clinton St.; 212-233-5050; 8 p.m.; $70-$250
If you think 2015 really was a time to be alive, then join the rapper for what's sure to be a high-energy night. He's had a huge year, releasing a studio album and two mixtapes on top of his Drake collaboration, so there definitely won't be a shortage of material.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
Rough Trade, 64 N. 9th St., nr. Wythe Ave., Williamsburg; 10 p.m.; $30
Believe it or not, September marked the tenth anniversary of this indie favorite's eponymous album. Come for their "charmingly lo-fi aesthetic," as we called it way back in 2007, stay for the memory of your high school crush who definitely listened to that album.

Macy Gray
The Iridium, 1650 Broadway, at 51st St.; 212-582-2121; 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.; $65-$750
You could try to say goodbye to 2015 on your own, but you should probably just give in and come to Macy Gray's show instead. Welcome the New Year with her soothing, stunning voice at the early or ball drop shows.

They Might Be Giants
Music Hall of Williamsburg 66 N. 6th St., nr. Wythe Ave., Williamsburg; 718-486-5400; 11 p.m.; $35 ($40 day of show)
If you've never experienced the quirky fun of a They Might Be Giants show, it's time to see what all the fuss is about. The group will have extra reason to celebrate, as the end of 2015 marks the conclusion of their year-long Dial-A-Song project, in which they released a new song online every Tuesday. Plus, they promise to sing Auld Lang Syne.

Deer Tick
Brooklyn Bowl, 61 Wythe Ave., nr. N. 11th St.; 718-963-3369; 9 p.m.; $50
Once again, the indie rockers will be headlining Brooklyn Bowl's New Year's show with some to-be-announced special guests. Last year, those surprises included performances with Stevie Nicks, Sharon Van Etten, and Patrick Stickles, so really anything is possible.

Justice
TBA Location, Brooklyn; 8 p.m.; $105-$171
There's a bit of mystery surrounding this one: It will be held in a "classified" warehouse in Brooklyn. But what we do know is pretty cool: French DJ duo Justice will headline, with opening sets from Gesaffelstein and Bob Moses.

Gogol Bordello
Terminal 5, 610 W. 56th St., nr. 11th Ave.; 212-582-6600; 10 p.m.; $35 ($40 day of show)
Travel the world without leaving Manhattan with Gogol Bordello's signature "gypsy punk" sound, which blends influences from Eastern Europe to South America. Fellow sonic globetrotters Chicano Batman open, playing their mix of samba, soul, and psychedelic rock.

The Dictators
The Bowery Electric, 327 Bowery, nr. 2nd St.; 212-228-0228; 8:30 p.m.; $30
Check out this proto-punk band at one of downtown's last cool rock venues, then take your revelry to the streets of the East Village. (Bonus points if you head to front-man Handsome Dick Manitoba's eponymous bar.)
