If you think 2015 really was a time to be alive, then join the rapper for what's sure to be a high-energy night. He's had a huge year, releasing a studio album and two mixtapes on top of his Drake collaboration, so there definitely won't be a shortage of material.
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah

Believe it or not, September marked the tenth anniversary of this indie favorite's eponymous album. Come for their "charmingly lo-fi aesthetic," as we called it way back in 2007, stay for the memory of your high school crush who definitely listened to that album.
Macy Gray

You could try to say goodbye to 2015 on your own, but you should probably just give in and come to Macy Gray's show instead. Welcome the New Year with her soothing, stunning voice at the early or ball drop shows.
They Might Be Giants

If you've never experienced the quirky fun of a They Might Be Giants show, it's time to see what all the fuss is about. The group will have extra reason to celebrate, as the end of 2015 marks the conclusion of their year-long Dial-A-Song project, in which they released a new song online every Tuesday. Plus, they promise to sing Auld Lang Syne.
Deer Tick
Brooklyn Bowl, 61 Wythe Ave., nr. N. 11th St.; 718-963-3369; 9 p.m.; $50
Once again, the indie rockers will be headlining Brooklyn Bowl's New Year's show with some to-be-announced special guests. Last year, those surprises included performances with Stevie Nicks, Sharon Van Etten, and Patrick Stickles, so really anything is possible.
Justice

There's a bit of mystery surrounding this one: It will be held in a "classified" warehouse in Brooklyn. But what we do know is pretty cool: French DJ duo Justice will headline, with opening sets from Gesaffelstein and Bob Moses.
Gogol Bordello

Travel the world without leaving Manhattan with Gogol Bordello's signature "gypsy punk" sound, which blends influences from Eastern Europe to South America. Fellow sonic globetrotters Chicano Batman open, playing their mix of samba, soul, and psychedelic rock.
The Dictators

Check out this proto-punk band at one of downtown's last cool rock venues, then take your revelry to the streets of the East Village. (Bonus points if you head to front-man Handsome Dick Manitoba's eponymous bar.)
