Now here’s a trend I continue to appreciate: developers hiring hot, young interior designers to decorate model apartments inside their buildings. As a strategy for luring buyers, it’s a smart one, since it gives house-hunters the chance to experience a space the way a discerning (yet practical) decorator like Rita Konig sees it. I recently got a chance to talk to Rita about her model apartment inside the Manhattan House on East 66th Street (the building also features apartments by the established design stars James Huniford and Celerie Kemble).
