• The Sidley Austin associate who appeared last night in VH1’s I Love New York 2 has since left the firm. Sidley apparently suggested that he pursue his “acting career” rather than the law. [Above the Law]
• Lawyers at Weil Gotshal want to postpone a major case because “these dates are smack in the middle of our children’s winter breaks, which are sometimes the only times to be with our children.” [Law Blog/WSJ]

• Lapo Elkann is likely to present his first ecofriendly denim line (with Care) in December. Also, he’s in talks to buy Sartoria Domenico Caraceni, the Italian tailoring house that makes many of his bespoke suits. [WWD]
• Agyness Deyn, Lily Cole, and Irina Lazareanu are going head-to-head for Model of the Year at the British Fashion Council Awards. We wish they all weren’t so nice; we love saying the words “catwalk catfight!” [British Vogue]
