Sounds like the Lil’ Iron Ranger (a.k.a. hedge-fund manager Philip Falcone) and his missus, Lisa Maria, got a little impatient the other night at a Friends of the High Line event for big donors. During a speech in which the group’s Joshua David was thanking Diane Von Furstenberg and her husband, Barry Diller, for their donation of $10 million, the Falcones spontaneously dove in and pledged $10 million themselves. “I guess I can skip through the part about matching the pledge,” David joked, while Barry, no doubt, glowered in a corner.
