New York businessman and prominent Democratic fund-raiser Hassan Nemazee likes pretty things and fast cars, and he is not about to let the accusation that he has defrauded banks of $292 million cramp his style. According to the WSJ’s Law Blog, Nemazee arrived in court to plead not guilty to the scheme “looking dapper in a dark suit.” Good for him. As John Gotti once proved, just because you’ve been accused of doing terrible things doesn’t mean you have to look terrible. We wish more accused criminals would take such pride in their personal appearances. We’re looking at you, Dreier.
