Marc Jacobs Holes Up at New York Ranger’s Apartment

A source says that while Marc Jacobs waits for his Superior Ink townhouse to be made over by interior designer Thad Hayes, he and boyfriend Lorenzo Martone will be ensconced in yet another boldface name’s apartment: ex–New York Ranger Scott Gomez’s three-bedroom, three-bath in Chelsea. “It’s a new project that we decided to take as a white box, as they call it, which has no finishings,” Martone told The Cut in May about the house they bought for $10.495 million through Corcoran’s Chris Poore. Gomez was traded this summer to the Montreal Canadiens; his penthouse duplex, at 2,062 square feet, is less than half the size of Jacobs’s new place, but offers plenty of luxe (an entertainment system and outdoor kitchen on the terrace, a high-def movie projector, five flat-screen TVs, remote-controlled lighting); no word on how much the Louis Vuitton creative director will be paying monthly, but Streeteasy.com shows Corcoran’s Andrew Torrey, who’s handling the rental, listing it for $15,000 a month in September.
