Those ugly metal gates that protect storefronts at night, often covered by graffiti that we have trouble deciphering, have been outlawed by the City Council … eventually. Shop owners will have all the way until 2026 to install a somewhat less unsightly security apparatus, and graffiti artists will have until then to figure out something else to tag, which we are confident they’ll be able to do pretty easily.
