A 7.0-magnitude earthquake near Japan’s Ryuku Islands earlier today caused Japan’s Meteorological Agency to issue a tsunami warning, recommending that Okinawa residents move away from the seashore. The height of the tsunami is expected to be half a meter, or twenty inches. [CNN]
