Ever since Fred Davis, an adviser to California Senate candidate Carly Fiorina, shocked the world with the weirdest campaign ad in the history of campaign ads, we have been waiting eagerly, restlessly for his next, inevitably insane follow-up. Unfortunately, as M. Night Shyamalan learned after The Sixth Sense, the follow-up to a classic is always destined to fall short of our inflated expectations. Still, “Hot Air: The Movie” in which Barbara Boxer’s giant, creepy, floating, self-aggrandizing head terrorizes the nation is definitely an odd campaign ad when you compare it to almost any other campaign ad that has been crafted by the hands of man.
