Yesterday, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, the White House hosted the Prime Minister of Ireland, Brian Cowen. Joe Biden, who compulsively says something hilarious about once a month, was telling a story about some old New Yorker cartoon when he made an aside about Cowen’s deceased mother, who is actually still alive. But Biden quickly realized he was actually thinking of Cowen’s departed father, and everyone had a good laugh. Ha-ha, dead parents!
