For New York’s upcoming Neighborhoods issue, which will definitively and without opening itself to any sort of methodological critique whatsoever answer the question “Where is the best place to live in New York?,” we’ve been sending teams of interns out on the mean streets to poll the residents of various hoods about their backgrounds, living situations, and attitudes. But since the city has more mean streets than we have interns, we’re also putting our poll online so you, our New York–based readers sorry, but the poll isn’t relevant to those who live in other cities can tell us what makes you such a unique demographic snowflake.
