While an ill-conceived backlash against Arizona Iced Tea which is actually based in Queens grows online, state legislators are planning a more accurately targeted protest against Arizona’s controversial new illegal-immigrant law. In two weeks, at least six Latino members of the Assembly will travel to the state and chain themselves to the border fence “in a show of disobedience.” The group’s leader, Felix Ortiz, says they’re willing to get arrested “for the people of Arizona and other immigrants across the country.” [City Hall]
