As President Obama’s Supreme Court decision nears, one member on the shortlist, Michigan governor Jennifer Granholm, suggests that picking someone who isn’t a judge might not be a bad idea. “I think it’s a very wise move to consider experience that is not just from the judicial monastery,” she said on CNN yesterday.
