In a recent conversation with Brooklynite Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Supreme Court justice Anthony Kennedy, a Californian, complained (light-heartedly, he says) that the lack of geographical diversity on the current bench “isn’t fair.” Ginsburg replied, as he tells it, “Oh no, we have Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn.
