The White House, through political reporters Marc Ambinder, Jake Tapper, and probably others, wanted everyone to know that not only would President Obama address the ongoing oil-spill situation today in the Rose Garden, but that he’d be angry about it. And with good reason the oil has been bursting out of that pipe at a rate as much as fourteen times higher than previous estimates, and somehow nobody has figured out how to stop it yet. And don’t even get Obama started on the oil executives making a “ridiculous spectacle” out of the congressional hearings earlier this week. Oh, and the federal government, too, for blowing their oversight responsibilities. There’s really nothing Obama isn’t angry about right now.
