A Pew Poll shows that Democrats feel nearly as positively about the word “socialism” as they do about the word “capitalism.” Other notable findings: Republicans react much more positively to the word “progressive” than they do to “libertarian.” The word “militia” is received favorably by 36 percent of Republican men.
