In this fairly terrifying video, Hearst reporter and White House Press Corps dean Helen Thomas expresses her thoughts on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to Rabbi David Nesenoff. Shot at a Jewish Heritage Month celebration at the White House last week, the footage captures Thomas saying the Jews should “get the hell out of Palestine” and go back to Germany.
Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer is now calling for the 89-year-old woman, who has reported on has every president since Eisenhower, to lose her job, writing to the Huffington Post:
Thomas has since apologized for her comments, saying that they do not reflect her “heartfelt belief that peace will come to the Middle East when all parties recognize the need for mutual respect and tolerance.” That we can all agree on.
