According to a tweet by Florida reporter Gary Fineout, independent Senate candidate and Florida governor Charlie Crist said today that Florida is “at war with spill and there is Normandy invasion coming to ‘our coasts.’” Just following the logic of this metaphor, if the oil is the Normandy invasion, then that makes Floridians the Nazis, and Crist, as governor, Adolf Hitler.
