A new Gallup tracking poll reports that 78 percent of Muslims approve of President Obama. They like him very much. Jews and atheists like him at a slightly lower rate (a bit above 60 percent). Catholics are split down the middle, while most Protestants disapprove, but not nearly as much as the Mormons — less than a quarter of them support Obama.
Support across the board has dropped since early 2009. Pundits will point out that he’s “losing” the Jewish vote, but it would be more accurate to say he’s just less popular than he used to be: Members of the tribe and Christian gentiles are souring on him at an equal pace.
