The Justice Department has reportedly reached an agreement with Google, Apple, Pixar, Intel, and two other tech giants over barriers to hiring raids. The apparent message: Let your people go! According to Bloomberg, the companies are “in the talks that would halt agreements under which companies refrained from placing ‘cold calls’ to lure workers.” (The agreement is apparently not as strong as the Justice Department wanted.)
If the rules go into effect, Google and Intel won’t just be worrying about poachers from Facebook. They’ll now have to worry about everyone else.
