Large Hadron Collider Has an Exotic-Matter Fetish

Scientists from the University of Florida in Gainesville predict findings from the world’s most powerful particle accelerator could come even sooner than expected, including evidence of supersymmetry, “a theory that helps solve several cosmological mysteries” (!!!) as well as exotic types of new matter, including sparticles, diquarks, and leptoquarks. Frankly, the Collider was getting pretty tired of the same ol’ particles in its accelerator day in, day out. [New Scientist]
