At Least George W. Bush’s Parents Liked His Book

When asked on CNN how he feels about W.’s book, Decision Points, dad George Bush offered muted praise: “Good. I think he did a good job of selling the darn thing, he’s been out there all over the place. But I liked it.” W.’s mom was more straightforward. “I loved the book. I thought it was very frank,” Barbara said, reaffirming our suspicion that you can (generally) count on your parents to tell Larry King they’re proud of you. The former First Lady got sassy when asked about Sarah Palin, though: “I sat next to her once. Thought she was beautiful. She’s very happy in Alaska, and I hope she’ll stay there.” Zing!
