Molly Wei and Dharun Ravi’s lawyers are claiming that their clients didn’t see anything sexual on the webcast of Tyler Clementi and that the video stream was only viewed on one computer. Ravi’s tweet, “Anyone with iChat, I dare you to video chat me between the hours of 9:30 and 12. Yes it’s happening again,” the day before Clementi committed suicide, seems to point to a different intent. But Columbia law professor Tim Wu told CBS that whether the video was disseminated has little legal relevance, “What I think we have to think about is whether the victim thought this film was being put on the Internet, because that may have been why he killed himself.”
