Teen Birth Rate Lower Than Ever Before

Despite the success of TV shows like 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom, teens aren’t rushing out and getting pregnant. In fact, according to the CDC, less of them are getting pregnant than ever before, or at least since they’ve been keeping track of the statistics. In 2009 there were only 39.1 births per 1,000 teens, a drop of 6 percent from the previous year. [NPR]
